Really good food truck. Super busy during the evening. They have tents and chairs outside on the sidewalk which is good if you wanna sit and wait or even eat. The Fresca drinks are soooo good. Especially the Pineapple and Cucumber ones. I could drink them everyday.
Great tacos, especially like their Al Pastor and Chiziro Also check out their version of the Crunchwrap and papa loca (potato)
I was craving tacos and decided to stop by because of the reviews. I ordered three vampiro tacos with al pastor and carne asada. Vampiro tacos have crispy tortillas with melted cheese. The tortilla for the vampiro had a weird texture, almost pita-like. I had vampiro tacos before, but they were not like this. The meats were flavorful, so I will return to try something else. At the pick-up window, they have a cooler filled with three types of salsas in small to-go containers. I'm a massive fan of orange salsa, so I grabbed a bunch when I saw they had it. Unfortunately, the orange one is my least favorite of their three salsas. Their orange salsa has a weird nutty flavor like it's made with sesame paste or peanut butter. La Vic's orange sauce is my go-to.
I was a bit worried about having a long wait but the line moved quickly and our order didn't take much time to come out. The food was fresh and super tasty, one of the best taco spots I've been to in a while. There are places to sit in front of the truck but we preferred to take our order home. Frankly, I am looking forward to my next visit to this spot.
I've eaten at this truck so many times I've lost count. They originally had a location in East Oakland by where I once lived. 3 years ago I moved to SLZ and a few months after that I see a random vendor stand pop up by the old Mervyns lot. To my surprise it was Tacos Mi Reynita. It was just meant to be. Fresh made tortillas, open fire cooking, and an amazing assembly line(fast service). Since there first pop up here they've grown and have concession/food trailer. Although I miss the days of open fire cooking and grabbing your own salsas/accoutrements I see the need of the change to enclosed cooking and prepacked salsas(which is convenient). I've had most of what's offered on the menu, but my go-to is the campechano burrito and the tripas tacos. This place has never done me wrong, I've had times in the past where I'd go everyday they were there. I have curbed my addiction but still try to go weekly. Thanks Taco Mi Reynita family.
I've come here a lot over the last year so I've tried many of their menu items. Highlights - Tacos (Al Pastor and Asada are the best; Lengua was very disappointing) - Quesadillas (Get an Al Pastor one and you will get more meat and flavor than you could ever imagine) - Burrito (enough for two meals tbh and reheats well) The wait to get your food after you order can be very long, would recommend ordering ahead over the phone. They accept credit cards now but they add a cc fee so I still pay by zelle.
Delicious! I wish they accepted card or Apple Pay, but they only accept Zelle. I also wish they were in the neighborhood everyday! I got tacos and a crunchwrap.... because I'm a sucker for crunchwraps and I just HAD to try it. It was amazing! My only ick is they don't make food in order so wait time varies significantly. While half of our friend group finished their food, the other half didn't even get it yet.
Love the food here! We were happy to see a place open closer to home. I usually call ahead to avoid the long wait since the place is always busy. I love their tacos de al pastor and their agua de maracuya is my favorite.
Decent tacos, burritos, and quesadilla. $42 for a chicken burrito, two steak quesadillas, a large agua Fresca, and two tacos. The mango passionfruit agua fresca was refreshing. They give a decent amount of steak in the quesadilla. Seems a bit pricey but it came with guacamole. Salsas were quite spicy and the mildest one was green. I liked the variety of salsas and that they give cucumbers and limes.
Each time I visit its adventure time for my culinary journey. It was the Baked Potato this time that grabbed center stage. Just amazingly baked to tender perfection, then topped with your choice of meat, guacamole, crema and herbs. This thing is huge so be prepared. Easily could fill up a hungry teen that's been playing ball all day. The hand made tortillas are always amazingly soft and compliments the meat in a balanced way. They don't need to stack two together and I appreciate the fresh taste. I had cabeza and lengua this time. Can't wait to get a weeks workout in to gorge out here.
